Very good !
I was here about 3 years ago. When I read the reviews, I can only say that the owner has learned nothing. Back then, rooms were already out of order. We should also prefer to have breakfast outside.
Not nice. In Berlin on assembly we were three in the potato castle housed. The price was ok so far, if the rest would have fit. The best part was the breakfast. It was from the selection very manageable, but everything as far as fresh. Only the owner sits down there almost all the time and thinks you want to talk to her at breakfast ....... Unfortunately, there was no kitchen, ie restaurant more, although it was still on the website. The marginal spots on the bathtub edge of the shower gel, which was there from Tuesday to Friday accumulated and in between not cleaned, was on the next Monday (renewed arrival and accommodation in the same room) still so available. It was also on the day of arrival to see that the toilet was not cleaned at all. The coronation was that we were asked to have breakfast on Friday in the cafe in the street. The owner would be reluctant to get up for just 3 guests and prepare breakfast. Then one should consider to stop the operation. One night you can do it (but not anymore)

Beautiful
Average hotel, where the price performance is not quite ok.
Very remote ... But good for visiting Berlin by car
Yes the rooms are clean and good, unfortunately there are two points that are not so good and that would be the first that the heating is cold, and there is no breakfast for only two people
The hotel is very noisy !!!!! You really hear everything :(
Rooms are great .. Lte available ..., wlan, kü
We were in room 8 which was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was perfect. We will be back!
Nice rooms
Very clean, very friendly, nice village, own parking in the yard, gladly again!
Rooms are clean and quite large. The hotel owner is an elderly lady who likes to complain. There is no breakfast. Hotel own parking.
Fine. Price performance top! Breakfast great. Room clean and well maintained.
Was there on the weekend and found it really great. For the money completely fine.
Price performance was not ok ... the whole has nothing to do with hotel and if at all should be called pension. The boss was even too much to make breakfast ... I recommend it no weider not even for construction people or so are on assembly. I would not even go there if you say you are only there to sleep. Just leave the fingers away.
Unfriendly reception; not there for guests.
Unfriendly and arrogant boss ... The price for the breakfast is much too expensive at most € 5 worth ... Poor service ... NEVER AGAIN!
I celebrated my 50th birthday on November 29th, 2013 in the Hotel Kartoffelschlösschen and I can only agree with Karl-Heinz Sladek on all points. I paid after the oral. Offer 1150.00 euros for the buffet for 30 people, 28 people only came and the food wasn't enough! I also spoke to the boss about the food, and I got the answer that I should have ordered more. She's the professional and knows the quantities and you trust them! Kudos to the cook, the food was great ;-) Mündl. Agreements were not kept (example: there are enough types of beer available (draft beer was stale), which I also said to the bartender in the evening / 3 bottles of black beer only available, non-alcoholic drinks were partly no longer available from 9.30 p.m., etc., the table decorations were Designed on the tables when many were already seated because the bartender and the waitress were late. The room rates that you charged were not as agreed before. My guests were also refused to pay for the rooms with an EC card! The hotel was with Arrival cold, we turned on the heating ourselves. The boss was very rude to my guests and whispered at them because my mother wanted to adjust a chair and much more. I refused the first drink bill I received, because it was handwritten and based on a Made a tally sheet that she didn't even want to show me. On December 13th, 2013 the alleged owner (name known to me) called me and said to me I was a dodger and I am not entitled to an invoice, which I also received in writing from his lawyer (seems to be a relative) and the 2nd drink bill was even higher than the first and again handwritten! Furthermore, he gave his 3 employees a warning, funny only that the woman introduced herself to me as the owner and boss and the bartender is not even employed in the hotel, which he told us himself! The reviews on other portals should take out my guests, it would be damaging to their reputation, it is only the truth what was written to which I also stand and another 27 guests can and will prove. A sentence that the gentleman said to me on the phone actually says everything "I have already told her (the alleged boss) often enough that she should stop doing such events because there is only trouble" !! It was my 50th birthday and unfortunately you only have it once, but I can say I celebrated my 49th better ;-) I have no problem paying that, but it's about the way and the honesty !! I have no problem with going to court because hopefully such people will be stopped. Word of this gets around quickly in a village and people contacted me who had gone through the same (price-performance ratio) at celebrations in the Hotel Kartoffelschlösschen (e.g. 70th birthday, wedding, etc.) The Kartoffelschlösschen doesn't deserve the name "Hotel". How I would call it everyone can think of it!
We spent the New Year with friends in Berlin. They also recommended the hotel to us, as they have often accommodated acquaintances or friends in the Kartoffelschlösschen. The hotel is located a few miles outside of Berlin. Due to the good train connection, however, you are in a few minutes in the city. We found the stay very nice, as the rooms are friendly and in my opinion also sufficiently furnished, incl. Balcony and TV. The rooms unclean or dirty I can not confirm and the hotel owner was very nice and friendly. On our next visit to Berlin we will definitely book a room in this hotel again. I would definitely recommend it.
Never again! The 4-day accommodation in the “Kartoffelschlösschen” hotel over Christmas 2013 really spoiled our Christmas party, that has to be said. The stay ended in a verbally tangible dispute with the always unfriendly hotel manager who was not ready to give her name. According to her, the hotel owner was not there over the holidays. My wife and I had booked a double room that was neither really clean nor free of defects (cobwebs / spiders in the bathroom, defective towel rail, defective lighting in the bathroom). In addition, some things made the length of stay annoying (no shower curtain in the bathtub, transparent "windows" in the bathroom, soft bed mattress, pillows with ultra-light foam). At breakfast "not lit" candles (with other guests already), up to and including coffee pots that were allocated, attracted attention. However, it was really annoying that the privacy of the guests was not respected. So provocative conversations at the next table were conducted so loudly, which were clearly related to other guests, obviously to us, and could be overheard by everyone. It went from the use of towels (literally: "You use your towel privately for more than a day" to the field of activity of the regular guest, a police officer who is active in drug discovery). Apart from the provocations, everything was also information that was none of our business and that didn't interest us. But there was no question of rest. In addition, there was already a smell of freshly roasted duck in the morning, which was probably prepared for third parties in the former restaurant kitchen. A bad smelling annoyance in the morning with coffee. But there was still the moldy bun, which completely spoils your appetite and the day. Unfortunately, one is always afraid of the question whether one has possibly already eaten more of it. That's disgusting. Last but not least, the hotel manager suddenly didn't remember the price agreements, despite previous telephone agreements and reservations. After various verbal attacks on the part of the hotel manager, again in front of other guests, we were able to leave our Christmas home, ultimately only with a receipt from a receipt pad. Fortunately, I can base my information on 3 other guests who were with us in the hotel at the same time and who saw, heard, experienced and followed everything mentioned here - unfortunately. After no written registration - including the other guests - has been made for the entire duration of the stay, one wonders in retrospect whether that is actually correct. Why don't you register your guests in writing, which has been common practice since 9/11? My family and I will not set foot in the “Kartoffelschlösschen” hotel again. Never.
